This resource is full of cross-curricular activities to help you explore the picture books Manfred the Baddie, The Day Louis Got Eaten and Jeremiah Jellyfish Flies High by Scottish author John Fardell. He is a regular contributor to the adult comic Viz, and has created and drawn two of the most popular and long-running strips, The Modern Parents and The Critics, as well as the more recent (and rather less popular) additions of Ferdinand the Foodie and Desert Island Teacher. The hilariously preposterous chase unfolds quickly in Fardell's panel illustrations, and Sarah shows bravery, ingenuity, and determination every step of the way: she reconfigures her bike again and again, outfitting it with a paddlewheel to traverse the sea and spidery legs to climb some Seussian rock formations.
