About this deal
What: One of the biggest Easter eggs we’ve ever laid eyes on, this whopper from Kent-based chocolatier Cocoba weighs in at a weighty four kilograms. The egg, an ancient symbol of new life, has been associated with pagan festivals celebrating spring.
Its beautiful 65% cocoa egg is moulded from Swiss dark chocolate by Betty’s professional chocolatiers and finished with an elegant bronze shimmer and an edible Betty’s plaque making it almost too pretty to eat. The egg itself is rather good too, made with 45% Colombian milk chocolate, with a layer of creamy white chocolate on the inside.
The shape is truly odd but the flavour is wonderful – buttery and tasting just like a Caramac thanks to caramelised sugar in the white chocolate.
