Recorded using state of the art 24-track console on 30 ips tape, the recording sounds marvellous although my copy is a bit scratchy. Apologies these came to you damaged, we have let the plant we produce these at know and are resolving the issue. The music of "Rainy Days and Mondays" was composed by Roger Nichols, and the lyrics were written by Paul Williams, who later recorded his own version of the song.Though often referred to as "The Carpenters," their name on official releases and press materials was "Carpenters.

While Richard penned compositions with writing partner, John Bettis, many of the duos' hits were written by others and some were cover versions of established hits for other artists, such as The Beatles and Motown's, The Marvelettes. So many instruments in these arrangements, from dual oboes to french horn, and others, I suspect it's the wrecking crew, but it doesn't say anywhere.
